It’s not as if Sanghyuk was planning to feel this way. To feel as if he couldn’t breathe when Taekwoon looked at him, to feel as if his whole world shook when Taekwoon smiled, to feel as if he loved Taekwoon so much Sanghyuk would give anything and everything for Taekwoon to be happy.
He was falling, falling so hard he couldn’t even stop to think of the consequences. He couldn’t even stop for a breath. His greed to just keep Taekwoon and all his little details and his perfections overwhelmed him. He wanted nothing more than to be the only thing that Taekwoon saw (because to Sanghyuk Taekwoon was that only thing)
And during the silent moments when Taekwoon and Sanghyuk are in the same room and Sanghyuk feels as if his world’s turned upside down. He thinks of those moments; he thinks of the heat shared between them as they sit side by side and Taekwoon offers his earpiece to Sanghyuk.
Sanghyuk feels overwhelmed because his sun, his angel, his prince is all that he can see and it frightens him how insecure and how inadequate he is in comparison to Taekwoon. Taekwoon was is perfection and Sanghyuk wasn’t even close to that.
The way Taekwoon would just make him feel instantly protected like an umbrella from the rain or the shade from the sun, the way Taekwoon would silently chuckle at all of Sanghyuk’s little antics (and whenever Taekwoon chuckled it made Sanghyuk shiver because of the way his chuckles would just dance on Sanghyuk’s skin and slowly enter Sanghyuk), the way Taekwoon would just silently mouth the lyrics of a song as they listened to it together (and his lips would look so unbearably irresistible, Sanghyuk just has to look away for a few moments before he loses control of himself and place his own lips on Taekwoon’s).
Taekwoon overwhelms Sanghyuk on levels Sanghyuk can’t comprehend and it scares him to know that maybe, just maybe Taekwoon feels this way too.
But then Sanghyuk remembers all the other moments he’s been trying so hard to forget; the moments where Taekwoon smiles so widely it hurts for Sanghyuk to look, the moments where Taekwoon looks so full of happiness Sanghyuk wishes Taekwoon stays that way forever, the moments where Taekwoon just seems so at bliss Sanghyuk feels his own heart bursting at the seams because it just feels so painfully good.
Sanghyuk remembers the moments where Taekwoon are with Hakyeon (and it’s so painfully obvious to Sanghyuk that the only thing Taekwoon sees is Hakyeon).
Slowly Sanghyuk unravels and he’s no longer falling he’s just crashing because he remembers that Taekwoon is perfection
and Sanghyuk would never be enough for him.
