Lost Season 6, Episode 3: What Kate Does

Feb 16, 2010 12:41

First of all, I don't think I need to tell anyone the episode title is a direct play on Season Two's "What Kate Did." The one where she sees her black horse hallucination (Smoky?) and Sawyer seems to be possessed by her father. Also, for those who didn't watch the ComicCon videos this year, in the no island universe, Kate has killed her father's apprentice (Ryan Milner), not her actual father. Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z4T-G1SEIg&feature=player_embedded

And, I think I do need to let everyone know that I hate Kate episodes. I hate Kate as a character and would gladly skip over her episodes if I had the choice. Fortunately, Kate's story line wasn't the only thing going on and I was really happy to see Claire back -- on and off the island.

Here's a good recap of what happened in the episode, and I guess all I have to say about it was:

1. RIP Aldo. "What's up, bitches?!"

2. Ethan Goodspeed vs. Ethan Rom? Looks like his parents don't get killed in this "no island" universe. Does this mean there's no DHARMA initiative? Are all these characters (possibly) alive?

3. Again, what's the importance of Aaron?

4. What darkness took Claire? I'm still not convinced that Team Jacob and the temple others are good. I'm still on Team Nemesis. Dude just wants to go home, guys.

5. Is the darkness the same as the sickness or "the infection"?

I realize this is weak and probably a waste of time, but so was the majority of that episode.

The best recap I did read was over at Jezebel -- They noticed Desmond's wedding ring and made more connections to the past.

Hopefully, tonight's episode is better.
