The final chapter of this one. My deepest thanks to hereswith for beta reading this longish tale, and to everyone who's been following along and letting me know you enjoyed it!
> She and Tom had discussed the matter and had determined they would never allow themselves to become dead bores in their affection for one another, not even when they were grown and married. <
I wonder how long that resolve will last?
> "My dear, was your voyage very horrid?" "Some of it was very. Other bits bordered on extremely." <
Poor Jack- going to all that trouble to fetch a midwife who wasn't needed! (Not by Harry, anyway.) At least he's gained some tales to add to the family lore.
> "Mother once told me - well, Julietta, but I was there, too - that a young lady of breeding wouldn't think of sleeping with a gentleman before they were properly married. But I do think of it, when I'm with you. Is that very dreadful of me?" <
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It was great fun to write, and it's gratifying to know I can still produce a multi-chaptered story in a reasonable length of time. Thank you very much for reading and commenting on each chapter. I appreciate that so much!
A New Year's continuation of this would be lovely, just the right warm anecdote for ice and snow (at least in this corner of the world :-)
I've really enjoyed reading this because of the great affection with which you write Jack, Harry, their crew and kindred, and all of the other characters, canon and original. You've created a wonderful aftermath for all of them, vivid action and dialogue, and it's all just fabulous fun. Thank you ♥
Thank you! Hopefully the next one will be fun, too -- the outline sounds good, anyway. *g* I do love all these characters, and I really appreciate knowing you enjoy them too. Thank you for reading and commenting.
Firstly, my sincerest apologies for being remiss in posting Comments for each chapter of this lovely story! Real Life has of late turned (once again!) into this voracious time-eating monster, and as a result both my reading and Commenting, as well as my own writing, has fallen a bit by the wayside

What a wonderful surprise to get this review in my email this evening. I'm so happy to know you enjoyed the story. And reviews are never ever too late, as you must realize yourself.
Tom is a lot of fun to write, but so are all the OC's in this series. I'm having way too much fun with the next one, Blood & Treasure, which is set ten years after Caribbean Quests. It's Tom and Anne's story, but it's Jack's, too, as his pre-pirate past catches up with him in a startling fashion. I think it'll be 20 chapters in all, and I'm trying to get the whole thing done by the middle of November, before my grandbaby comes, so it won't be a WIP, I'll be able to post it all in January.
I know how it is with RL getting so busy. There are only so many hours in the day. So I really appreciate you taking the time to read and review this, and I am looking forward to reading more of your work, too, whenever you have a chance to write for us.

Ha ha! Such endearingly underinformed kids!
Thanks so much for this most entertaining yarn!
