Ah, it would appear that Jack, now shut of piracy and privateering (nasty business, either one) is going to be plunged into the intrigues of the landed. It strikes me as the piece being well "Brit-picked", but what the hey do I know!
Ever and always, you're able to achieve a lightness and purity of spirit which few can attain--certainly not me, to be sure!!
Lightness is the object. There's a bit of angst, but only to make the light bits happier by contrast. Writing this stuff is escapism at it's most absorbing, and I expect you can very much relate. *G*
