"Day don't like to be separated from ol' Wilby, though they've been scrapping like a couple of pups lately. I told them I'll throw 'em out and they can run alongside, if they make a nuisance of themselves."

I have no trouble picturing that. :)

"Do you know who they remind me of?"
"Us."

That was good for a laugh!

"We must always be friends, Annie. No matter what. You've made your choice, and how can I wish you anything but joy? But we must always be friends, and if you ever need me, if ever there's service I can render, you've only to ask. Savvy?"

Oh, how gallant Tom is! Takes after his Da that way.

'For no one but Tom Sparrow was ever going to take Anne Norrington to wife... not even if he had to steal her away to do it.'

See above comment.
Go get 'er, Tom!

(BTW: Did the Norringtons ever get their Christmas presents?)

The Norringtons' gifts were back on the Pearl, but that'll have to be a deleted scene, we're moving on to Jack's ancestral home tomorrow.

Tom is very determined and not a little unscrupulous. Pirate?

Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

Daisy's a handful and no mistake! Sweet though.

Minor Britpick:

Uncle Weatherby’s sending him to Harrow when the term starts in the fall.

We use autumn, and a quick search online indicates that by the late 1600s "fall" (in use for about a century) was already obsolete. "Autumn" has been in use consistently since the late 1500s apparently.

Thank you! I remember looking up Harrow, to make sure it was in existence at that time, but totally missed "fall". Fixing now.

Oy, I'm trying to type around Disney, my big girl black and white who has decided I am the ONLY place to be this evening. I've put her down off my lap 7 times and she comes right back.

I love Daisy and all her beautiful names==she is very much Jack's child. even more of her dad than her brother it seems. She pushes you right to the edge and then when you are sure to throttle her, she becomes that beautiful smile that makes you forget your name.

Tom! Now that's a promising lad with some entertaining thoughts. I beg a bit of flirting so she's not sure your her best friend, but rather keeps making those doe eyes at you. What a boy~I'll just steal her...oh my word--that'll be a frog in the punch bowl won't it? Love this story just right!

Oh, lucky you with a sweet kitty to keep you company. I love my little dogs, but there's just something so comfortable about a cat. Give her a hug for me.

Daisy is all pretty mischief, yes, just like Jack, and he's more indulgent with her than he was with Tom (love isn't quite blind, but sees with rose-colored glasses certainly). But Harry has her measure, no worries. ;)

But Tom is like Jack, too, very determined when he has a goal.

Thank you so much for commenting! I'm very glad to know you're still enjoying this.

You are quite right you know==Harry would see her little dances to pull the wool over Jack's eyes and gently urge her best behavior (like at the Vauxhall ( ... )
