How I miss the LJ of the old days. tumblr just doesn't do it for me, though there are lots of lovely Sherlock fans there, of course (that's the only thing I look for on that site, and the occasional Sherlock fanfic is the only thing I post). Anyway, I'm still around, though usually crazy

*waves frantically* Hello, mate! How I miss the old PotC crew here and on Black Pearl Sails! I'm drowning in academic writing, grading, and family, but I still occasionally pull out the old Crossing fanfic and add a bit to the last three chapters. It's good to hear from you! ((Hugs back))

It would be AMAZING to read more of Crossing! I am very glad to hear you are still working on it occasionally, in spite of extreme busy-ness. I am wondering how your winter was, so far north -- I've been watching the Banff/Lake Louise webcams and they sure had a lot of snow! Wishing you a beautiful spring and a blessed Easter. It's strange to be so nostalgic for LJ, but I guess it was my first real fandom experience and the PotC community was really great for the most part! Just so many great discussions and so much fun and so many amazing fan works!
I'm on tumblr, yeah, but it's just not the same. I want structure and discussions and being able to find stuff. Also, internet speed in my village is still not that great (Germany, the first world country that somehow forgot to hop on the digital train, yay *rolls eyes*) and that makes tumblr a PITA, really.

I'm hoping that pillowfort or some other site manages to become a new home for fandom, but that'll be a while, so now we have to muddle along somehow.

But it's so good to see some of us are still around! *hugs*

I'm trying to post a little more (on Dreamwidth, cross-posting here), too, but only succeeding a little it at that.
