You know, I've been askin' myself that very question. Thing is, I'd still take this over Reavers...

...Sorry, still a little stunned...I mean, I've seen big monsters before, but this probably takes the record.

Don't feel bad, I probably should have asked for more details. I was still a bit fuzzy that day.

So what are these Reavers you keep mentioning? They don't sound pleasant.

You got all right to be. Thing's worth as much surprise as any of us 'round here can muster. Breathtakin', if you will. Most people ain't lucky enough to get a clear look like this without gettin' squashed.

Reavers is...well, they was people once. Men that went mad after bein' in the black too long. Group of 'em'll board a ship, kill the crew, rape 'em, sew 'em together, eat 'em...and they don't really have a mind to what order they do any of that in. Sometimes they leave a survivor or two, but those go straight to crazy, start in on where the Reavers left off...

Long and short of it, they ain't pretty, and they definitely ain't friendly.

I suppose I should count that as a good thing. It would probably seem better if it weren't so incredibly ugly, though. Is this as close as it usually gets? I'd hate to see it much closer without some sort of safety precautions. (If there are even any that would work.)

...I have to admit. That is probably one of the most disturbing people I have ever heard of. And I know about snake creatures that burrow into your neck and take control of your body.

You mentioned a ship. Did you do space travel where you were from?

Not the Japan from the world I'm from. We only have monsters that big in the movies.

It's possible. I'm not really sure how we would be able to find out if we're from the same Earth reality. It seems like there are a lot of people from 'earth', but not necessarily the same one.

Most people here cannot remember a time without this monster. Perhaps as some joke, many call it "Big Momma." I had the misfortune of being close to it once.
