The archeologist paused, cup of coffee halfway to his mouth as he stared. He appeared to be standing in a…spaceship. That was his best guess, at any rate, due to the impressive view of space off to one side. But the stark-white, futuristic-looking architecture of the place was completely alien to him. Daniel stayed standing there for a long moment, looking more contemplative than actually startled. (He’d been doing this enough times by now that it didn’t make much sense to panic just yet.)
“Hmm. Interdimensional hop, or beaming technology and a new ship?” the explorer wondered out loud thoughtfully. He took another sip of his coffee and turned to see if there was anyone pointing something life-threatening in his direction; that usually answered such questions.

But that didn't exactly mean he liked it when it came without warning, especially when he'd been in the middle of taking care of a slight monster problem (read: a random monster he'd run across). One moment he'd been charging towards his foe, and the next he was somewhere else entirely entirely. Luckily for all involved, he managed to pull his blow short before anything or anyone got hurt.
"The hell is that?"
Presumably he meant the sudden flare of blue from the portal below.

Then that voice spoke, and Daniel's eyebrow went straight up. Well, THIS was definitely different. Not one of the people he would have expected.
Oh well. These things happened. And who knows? This could be interesting. The part about him seeing the gate might get a little tricky, however.
"Oh, hey, Seifer," Daniel deadpanned, giving the guy a small wave. "Welcome to my dimension. Thanks for not punching me just then, I'm having enough problems right now."
Sam looked distinctly startled; this was the first time she had been there when someone new showed up. Glancing nervously out at the active gate and then back at the blonde stranger, she said somewhat uneasily, "Uhh...Daniel?"

"After all, next time I might not be able to stop in time. Hell, you're lucky it was just a punch."
Pulling a gunblade strike was a lot harder than pulling a punch, for example, mostly because of the added weight and momentum.

And of course, since he had been on a bed several feet off the ground...he landed with an "Oomph!" on his backside as he came out on the other end. Groaning, he decided to just lay there for a moment until he could see straight again ( ... )

"D-daniel!?" Link replied, shocked to see his old friend in the middle of his house, "What are you doing here?" Link's voice wasn't that of a young child's anymore, as it had just started changing in the past couple months.

"But it's not permanent, and it only affects me, not you," he hurried to reassure. Daniel didn't want Link panicing into thinking that he was going to get sent off on another 'adventure' like what happened in Manhattan. "I just might be stuck here for a few hours."
Daniel watched the blonde boy's face, waiting for his response. Almost as a humorous afterthought, he added jokingly, "Sorry for waking you up, but this tends to happen at

"Uh, it's okay," Link replied to Daniel's apology, "I think it's close to morning anyway..." Close enough that it probably wouldn't be much of a big deal if the sun rose an hour or two earlier today. He went over to the lone trunk in his room and got out a blue ocarina, placed it to his lips and played a simple melody.
And suddenly the sun started peeking over the horizon.

"Hey! D- You there!" He shouted- snarled really, and jerked his rifle viciously, "Come into the light!"
He'd had hallucinations before. He'd been tricked before, and until he saw that what looked like a man didn't burn like a darkseeker, he wouldn't assume differently.

"Daniel Jackson," He finally replied, though his voice was more command than recognition, and he still kept the gun steady, "Y'gonna hafta do me a favor and hold still."
