Oh man, what have you done? How dare you introduce me to such a wonderful blog that posts updates so freakin' often that I will only be required to waste even more and more of my already-too-infrequent computer time allowance? Can I be best friends with you and everyone else who writes for that site, now?

Of course! And your journal name "rockinlibrarian" makes me happy. I used to say I wanted to be "a librarian by day and rock star by night." I've given up the librarian dream after taking one course two years ago, but I do sing in a band sometimes in the early evening :)

I think there's a T-shirt that says that on Cafe Press. I guess I didn't like the color or something, though, because I ended up getting one that simply said "LIBRARIAN ROCKSTAR" instead. I'm not actually a rockstar though, just a wannabe. The librarian part I've got down. Put us together, and we've got it made!

Thanks for reading! I'm so excited about this because I've written essays about being a geek mom...for nothing. Just because I needed to write out what I thought was a strange experience. So now I can write about sharing manga and anime with my kids, taking my daughter to her first Con, and it's cool! (at least to those who read it.)

I was asked because I happened to be at a homeschool info night in my town, and I mentioned quickly that I write geeky music. One of the moms there came up to be afterwards and said she is an editor for geekmom, and could I write a few example posts to be considered? They liked it and now I'm in!

Hopefully, I can become a core contributor in a few months, and then perhaps even get paid?!

This week I compiled a list called "25 Ways You Know You're A Geek Mom." I don't know when it will be posted during next week, but please check it out!
