My son likes Mythbusters

I approve. Mythbusters is an excellent introduction to science. My five-year-old recently stuffed his backpack with blankets, named it Buster, and tossed it repeatedly over the edge of the stairs, and another time he announced "I'm filling your belly button with cesium, Mom!" and then pretended to pour water on me and mime an explosion.

He's not so much of a Firefly fan, but he did pick Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog out of Netflix's entire selection when it was his turn to pick a movie. I'm such a proud momma.

The Gnome (as I still sometimes call my son) managed to pick up on the Bourne Identity episode, and so demonstrated by saying, "See Daddy?  If we had a toaster, I could put this folded paper in it and we could do Mythbusters."

Me:  "Umm...Yes, that's right we could.  but we don't have a toaster,* Honey."

Him:  "Yeah, and that's good 'cause it would burn and the house would be all on fire and we'd hafta call the firemen and everything'd be all wet from the water.  So we shouldn't do that, Daddy.  Don't do it."

* We use a toaster oven
