interactive obama dnc speech / transcript

i'm not a mad-happy obama "fanatic", but i think i'd be happy enough (as an aussie) if he won office. and come on, even if you're a cainer, you can't disagree that the man's got it. the kennedy boys had it, fdr had it, i think that washington and lincoln probably "had it" in their ( Read more... )

I thought the speech was fantastic. Though, I was pretty blown away by Hilary's too.

And then came Palin's today and I cringed during the entire thing - mainly because her voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard. *shudders*

Considering how much the U.S.' actions affect the rest of the world, the rest of the world should totally get a vote in November (said as a Canadian)

unfortunately i didn't get to watch any of it, and only saw bits and pieces of hilary's speech via the news/papers. it seemed like it went over very well though, which is nice, and she didn't sound at all snidey or passive aggressive about the whole thing.

i didn't catch any of mccain/palin today either (mainly because i didn't want to), so i don't even know what palin looks like, let alone what her speech was like!

and i agree, particularly with countries like us (aus) and i'm assuming canada, so much of what they do affects our policies and actions. our prime ministers never seem to have any balls, so whenever america goes to war, we follow... i wish one of our pm's would get up and make a speech like hugh grant did in love actually. *sigh*

He makes me tingle inside in a way that's like faith and hope and something more.

i really should make more of an effort to sit down and watch one of his speeches live. it's been a while since i've tingled inside.
