I honestly believe there is a point at which you are responsible for your own hurt in a situation. If something happened more than six months ago and you dig and you prod and pick at it, you seek out what or who* you blame for you hurt and you persist in dragging the whole mess back to the surface, then you are more to blame for the way you feel ( Read more... )

I would say depends on the situation like if someone

A) deleted your Re4 save data, when you had spent hours upon hours on mercs, getting the handcannon and chigaco typewriter.

B) drunk your last beer.

c) kicked you in the butt.

But something along the lines of being stood up, being talked about behind your back or such would warrant a different kind of reaction.

But yes, its never really a good thing to keep reminding yourself of a past hurt making it a present hurt.

The main issue with me is that the person who did the wronging in this situation was dealing with some pretty serious trauma of their own at the time, and wasn't actually aware of how hurt some of her friends were by her actions. Apparently I'm alone in thinking she deserves some wiggle room on that. And you have to understand that these two have no contact in real life. The "injured party" here is seeking out the other party. This isn't picking a scab, this is taking a knife and opening the wound again.
