Wedding Dress Conundrum

May 28, 2013 18:08

Ever since Mike and I got engaged we haven't really done much wedding planning, primarily because we haven't set a date yet. Mike wants to wait until we've saved enough money, or have some idea of what kind of money we'll have, before setting a date. I haven't complained about it, since I understand the rationale, but I have been really itching to ( Read more... )

You look gorgeous in all of these - no wonder it is such a hard choice. But, usually, once you make a decision you will feel so much better. Luckily I don't think you can really go wrong with either one. <3

I was actually at a bridal boutique this weekend for my best friend's first dress fitting. I helped her buy the dress and everything, but it was super nice to see how much she still loved it and she simply glows in it. Her big selling feature was how comfortable she found the dress for moving around in (on top of being absolutely stunning) ... I don't know if that would help you ... is one comfier than the other? lol. Maybe something to add to the pro/con list. :)

Thank you!

The lace dress was the only one I sat down in. It was very comfortable. I didn't really feel uncomfortable in the ruffle dress

You helped her buy the dress, that's pretty cool.

Make no mistake, you will be a gorgeous bride no matter which dress you select. While I love the lace one, I really, really adore the ruffled one.

Mike sounds like a great sport regarding the tushie picture, that made me smile. :)

Thank you!

He was laughing his ass off. he really got a kick out of it. He even told one of his co-workers about it and he started calling him the streaker.

Wow, you look absolutely lovely in all the pictures! :) I'm sure whichever one you pick will be gorgeous, though personally I thought the lace looked particularly amazing even from the first photo. :)

I do like that the ruffle one feels really unique. I know the chances of me getting a one of a kind dress, especially at the this bridal shop is slim to none, but when I walked into the store I saw someone buying the lace dress and the consultant said it was really popular. I don't know if I want a dress that a thousand other brides in my area is going to be wearing. It shouldn't really bother me, but it did a little.

You will look beautiful whichever you pick. I think the white looks stunning against your lovely skin. My personal preference would be the lace dress, because I think the ruffle makes you look very wide compared to your height. But it's important to go with your instinct on this.

BTW, you are soooo pretty!

Thank you for your honest opinion. I do think the ruffle dress does make me look a little wider. When I was trying on dresses, Jean kept saying how certain dresses made me look taller and I didn't really care about that. But looking at the two dresses, the lace does make me not look as wide and a bit taller.

Thank you! :)
