I hadn't seen IM2 but I did thoroughly enjoy IM3 and I thought Ben Kingsley was hilarious ... it was really nice seeing him doing something that I'd never thought about him doing!

Good luck with the babysitting! 10 year olds are at least a bit easier in that you don't have to be constantly watching them but I wish you all the luck as I'm really not a children person!!

Hope you have/had a good time camping!

It was definitely not his usual role and it was fun!

I'm not really a kid person either. I don't hate then or anything, but I can get annoyed pretty easily.

It was mostly a good weekend. Got tore up by bugs but there were some fun times.

Iron man 3 was SUCH a great movie, glad you agree!

And I'm sorry about the job, to be honest I think usually they call back within a few days if you've been accepted. But hey, they might just be slow!

I've done a lot of babysitting during my teenage years (about 5 years in a row) and I'm not a massive fan of kids, but ended up loving the job. You'll be fine - it's a good way to pass the time and if you set your goals right, I'm sure you'll be able to get other work done.
10 is a great age - not quite the confused teenager yet, but she'll be quite independant. Don't watch her like a hawk, just make sure she'll ask for permission or let you know what's up if she wants to go see a friend or something like that. And don't worry too much about keeping her entertained - if she's 10 and she's chatty, she'll make up her own mind and decide what she wants to do. If you're not sure what she will and won't like, what's too 'childish' and what's not, simply ask her - she's old enough to be vocal about it.

I've definitely given up on the movie job. It sucks but I'll get over it.

I do like the idea of using the baby-sitting time to get things done.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely try to ask her what she wants and get her opinions on things.
