Gah - my heart is still broken from the Merlin finale. It certainly doesn't feel like a year. Still - as heart breaking as it was, it was a fitting ending to the show.
I know there were some who saw the ending coming and that, as much as it hurt, they were okay with it, which is cool. But for me, I never thought the ending fit with the show that I'd watched over the years or that it was earned.
*hugs* I am definitely polite. Sometimes it doesn't seem to be enough. Like, I apparently have one of those face where unless I'm smiling I look like I want to murder someone. So people constantly ask me what's wrong or to smile and apparently it's not a real smile unless teeth are involved.
I was hoping LA might become a Christmas tradition, but probably not.
Sounds like things are going well, even if it does feel like a bit of a grind right now. Nic was out of town last Christmas, so I watched the Merlin finale on Christmas Eve at home alone, and I was WAILING. I don't think I've ever cried so loudly in my life. It was great/awful.
You're a masochist. :) The only time I've watched the season 5 finale was a few months after it aired for research for fest story I was working. I didn't watch the whole thing and only up until Arthur said thank you. I'll probably be able to watch the whole thing someday, but not yet.
*hug* You'd be a saint if you didn't have a bad eating day or two! But like you said, you're mostly sticking to your plans, so it's nothing to stress over.
I'm glad that you enjoyed Christmas (and that my card made it to you!)
I'm still not over the Merlin finale (fucking twats of the BBC and the 2 J's ruining Christmas) and haven't watched season 5 at all since it aired last year. My brother, charming man that he is, also decided to remind me about how I cried, proper ugly sobbing, and squished the cat as he checked that I knew they were fictional characters....
I haven't watched much of season 5 either, except for The Death Song of Uther Pendragon.
Aww, you squished the cat. But lol at your evil brother. I think that's why I didn't watch the finale with Mike. I don't know if he would have made fun of me, but I'm not sure he would have got my extreme sadness.
