Sorry for not updating for so long. It's weird because a lot of times I don't update because there's nothing much going on to talk about. But lately there has been stuff I've wanted to talk about but I've been so busy with wedding planning, going out of town, computer issues, and working on a thousand different fest submissions, I haven't had time

Wow, I had no idea this was something that would have to happen. I guess I just assumed that you picked the "first dance" songs and then it was shuffle after that. Wow. More power to ya!

You could always go look on LivingSocial or Groupon and see if there are any dance lesson deals on there. Who knows!

There are probably some people that do that and it's probably a lot less headache for them. :) I know there are some DJs that pick the music for you. When my mom got remarried she and her fiance went through their cds and sorted through what they wanted played.

Dance lessons sound like a great idea and possibly lots of fun! I can't really say anything about the price. Is it a larger course or just one-on-one (or one-on-two, rather) lessons for you and Mike? If it's the latter, it seems fairly reasonable!

I've heard it's one of the more fun things you can do while wedding planning, though for the two of us, I expect a lot of awkward moments.

The $45 price is for private lessons with the two of us.

Good luck narrowing your list of songs down further! I can't imagine how difficult that must be.

I've never had a dance lesson like that before, just ballet as a kid, so I don't know what price people normally charge for that kind of thing.

Ugh, I remember putting together the playlist for my best friend's wedding. We drank a bottle of wine doing it and by the end just thought 'fuck it, there are 100 songs there so we've got extra in case anything happens'

LOL, I'm almost at that point, too. Just saying it screw it and putting the names in a hat and picking the songs. I have narrowed it to 100. I'll probably cut it a little further since with a four and half hour event, we won't need even close to that many. But we are choosing some songs as back-up just in case things happen.
