After being home the past week, I start to remember why I didn't miss it so much.
A> My mom started my morning off by saying she would be suprised if I made it through my first year of college, implying nothing but a slab of failure on my part. B> Continued by pointing out, in her opinion, my greedy, unthankful consuming snobbish ways. C> Added on that I should go find a better job to pay for stuff. D> The grand finale was saying that paying for any of my schooling is nothing but a waste of money and she wants me to move out for good, but won't let me go away for college because there is "room and board right here for $5,000 cheaper".
What a hypocrit.
A> When have I ever actually failed anything? Sure, that speech class at OCC was not too good but I was also working WAY TOO MUCH (like 6-8 hours a day), attending school, playing sports and doing gazillions at the high school.
B> She just points out that car factor and college. Am I greedy for wanted to go to college? I busted my ass off 30 times more then a whole lot of people that are going away did. Going away is what I worked for. But that'd be too much good for me.
C> Oh gee, I do plan on getting a new job. I've said this all along. My job is what I see as a "high school" job. I worked there because they were flexible with my schedule. After graduation, I vowed that after Japan and the wisdom teeth, I'd go. You can't really depend on someone when you say "Well, I'll be in Japan for 2 weeks then come home and get some teeth taken out, so I can start working for you in about a month". Yea, I wouldn't hire myself in that type of situation.
D> I'm so sick of argueing that subject with her. Man, fuck it all.
As for my life around that, it's been fun. Went to Rochester's fireworks with Ashley and Nay. Tell me why they have an orchastra pit playing during the fireworks?!? Hazel Park's sucked so Ashley, Irene, Beth and I went to Ram's Horn. I swore we were going to get killed with all the Chaldean comments in the air.
I also made it to the free Jet concert at the Tastefest with Steve, John and John's friend Christina who was a lot of fun. It was major exciting. They were just as awesome as the first time and we were real close. Last night, after being in work for 11 hours (that'd be 4 hours more then I should have been), I made it to the H-dub fireworks. And Becker looked like a Mexican. Linds named him Pedro Jose Becker. Leonid wears sunglasses in the dark. "It's better to be safe then sorry".
that's all for now
