Went to dim sum with purlewe  and Sue, LJ user formerly known as gritsync and Annie. It was wonderful. Great company, and DRAGONS!

So last night I spent a lot of money on dinner. It was Ant's birthday dinner, plus an opportunity to do something we both had been wanting to do for many years.

We went to Morimoto (http://www.morimotorestaurant.com/) and indulged in the Omikase. They have several different "levels" of omikase. I went for the $120 version, he got the $150 version.

It's kinda creepy being the only person on a city street that stretches from river to highway. When you look behind you and see nothing but a long stretch of road - no headlights etc, it's almost like being beyond civilization, despite the fact that "civilization is only 20 feet to either side of you, tucked into bed, or watching late night/early ( Read more... )

Every time I try to log in to LJ on my home computer, I go to the site and when I mouse over the login panel in the upper right it disappears. Sometimes I have to reload the page 3 or 4 times before I'm quick enough to start entering my username before it disappears.

It's kinda fun. For now.

So, one of my employees is on a roll right now.

Two weeks ago she rescued a young pit from a home in which he had been abandoned.  She will likely keep him - he's a puppy and she loves him and he gets along with her other pit. YAY!

Sunday she called me from home. "Um, I've got another dog. He's big."

Me: "OK, take him to the shop."
