Hello, Mr. Heartache.

Dec 27, 2006 16:54

I'm still up in Big Bear... I feel like every year, we're up here and I end up on Livejournal, bitching about how much I want to go home. I'm still working on the parents about New Year's. They want to stay up here, and I think I'd rather shoot myself. We'll watch Dick Clark on TV, have a glass of champagne, and go to bed at 12:05. If that's not ( Read more... )

honestly, its like you dont even care about anybody here any more.
if thats not easy for me to deal with, then it must be incredibly difficult for your parents.
good luck.

It's not that I don't care, Ally. It's just different.

And with my parents it's especially tough because they had pre-conceived notions of what this would be like, so this, being different, is doubly difficult to handle.

But I certainly care.

Dear Devon,
Welcome to college. As lame as this sounds, what you're going through is perfectly normal. Many people before you went through it (myself included), others after you will go through the same emotions. But don't worry, it gets easier. Fall quarter is especially hard for this type of feelings because you see your family twice so closely together, right as your getting started.
If you are going to be in LA, let me know! I'm going to be up there from Saturday through Monday morning, and I'd love to spend new years with you!
Hope all is well,
jg

ps: is your friend ally's icon a hand going up a skirt?

Noooooo!!! Dick Clark is a LEGEND! How can a man that is older than my grandfather but looks younger than my dad NOT DO NEW YEAR'S ON TV?

Carson Daly can go stick his head in an oven.

Okay, but not. Because that's just mean.

You'd be surprised. There are torture tactics that would put Bush to shame going on up here... :)

It's pretty boring, and my parents refuse to leave, but it could definitely be worse.

you take life too seriously! lighten up :) everything will be so much happier if you take yourself, life, events, everything lighter than you are.

sit back. relax. enjoy that you woke up this morning, and enjoy that there's a good chance you will tomorrow.
