So, I'm starting college again in the fall. However, I've never had to worry about paying for school and filling out the financial aide forms and such. I know I need to do fafsa, and a colorado resident thingy, but I'm a little lost with everything else. Any suggestions on where I can go for free monies, or who I should get my student loans from ( Read more... )

Your soon-to-be college probably has a financial aid office that might be able to help point you in the right direction on that type of stuff.

What field are you looking to study in?

You should really visit the financial aid office.

I believe that you, being a not 18 year old whipper snapper will probably get a good sized loan and maybe even a grant or 2...since you would be considered a adult rentry or something...even though you're still young. :)

I don't really wanna talk to them if I can help it. But, I guess I will if I have to. They just seem so unwilling to do anything over the phone, and I'd like to avoid going down town if possible.

Have you tried email?
A lot of offices don't do anything over the phone any more. It can be a total hassle.

They might not be allowed to help do to security issues but I doubt that since I did all my financial aid crap while over 800 miles away from my school.
