I adore the ring. The stone is a Garnet (my birthstone) and the setting is white gold. The ring is a one of a kind. Jim knew I wouldn't want a diamond or any kind of yellow gold (picks up the yellow tone in my skin and makes me look jaundiced). After looking around and not finding anything he thought I would like he went to jeweler not far from where we live and they sat down and came up with a design inspired by a necklace he bought me earlier this year.

We are looking at sometime in the spring. My sister is living in England right now and will be coming back stateside around the end of this year. We won't be doing anything before that.

You are the first person who has indicated they knew where the pictures are taken. Good eye. And no - the ruse for getting me there was that we were supposed to be spending most of the day in AC so we were dressed a little warm for jumping around.

You damned well know you are on the top of the list of invitees. This wouldn't be happening if it weren't for you. We both owe you a lot, individually and collectively.

We've talked about gatting marrried so it wasn't a complete surprise in that respect but he did surprise me. He got Petra and Jimmy in on it which helped. We were supposed to be going to the Art Museum with them. It was a convincing ruse.
