Damn! I taught creative writing and your poem is very original-in arrangement, form and the words are well chosen. I like your work-have you published or are you taking courses? Anyway, what else have you written? I think you have a fresh, alive voice! Bravo. I would have voted, but did not want to use name. You should post some poetry-find out first if it is automatically copyrighted on LJ-I think it is-thanks for a good read! A good place to start publishing-and a hard place-is in university published literary journals... sandy

Thank you so much, Sandy! Having a poet and writer give that kind of review means a lot. I have actually put a lot of my poetry on my LJ (you have to sift through the other stuff, though), and on my Writing.com site. I had one poem published in one of those poetry contest books, and a couple in a class book from my creative writing class, but nothing that's REALLY publishing. I've been working on a book of poetry for about 10 years now, but never enough to actually put it together. I'm trying to replenish my work and my creativity by making myself write at least one poem a week this year. Writing.com helps in that, because when I can't get inspiration myself, I can find it there through contests and prompts and such. Thank you again. I do hope to publish someday, but for now, I'm contenting myself with writing for my own sake and for the enjoyment of my friends.

Later, when my brain is more put together I'll post why I like it.
