Mine is gonna be 17 this fall and has come to know that her cute isn't what it could be. She now just bugs the daylights out of me sleeping on a couple of my hand crocheted blankets that are hard to wash and giving me dirty looks when I find her there.
She still gets her kitty treats every day and daily brushings/bite mom fests. What can I say ? I've had her since I was 10 and she was a "due to die" shelter cat like all mine have been.
Ha, interesting story actually. We're not sure of her exact age, as she was a rescue. We found her on Christmas Eve of 2000 outside of our house stuck in a snow bank. Our neighbor had tossed her out of their house (we're still not sure why) and left her their to freeze to death. Luckily, we heard her muffled little meows and were able to get to her in time to nurse her back to health. She's so cuddly, and such a lap cat.
The twist - the neighbor had the guts to come to our door three weeks later and ask for her back. Told him to go to hell. :-)
She looks just like my handsome Sir Macbeth when he was younger! Good work with her bastard ex-human... hmm, I can certainly picture *him* stuck in a snow bank. *grrr* Hugs!
