The two little ones (Silas 11 mos Elly 14 mos) did really well last night.
Of course, except for the year it was cancelled after the first volley, it was
"pretty lame" (all grand kids over 5 agreeing).

OTH the food was great, the weather pleasant, and the Galaxy won.

In the past 2 months, we have had the best weather for roofing; day in and day out, that I can remember, and have had exactly one job we were on more than one day...actually we have probably averaged about a day and a half of work a week in all that time...So last week 90+ degree temps are predicted starting this week, and 4 people decided they are ( Read more... )

I don't believe I mentioned that when we got home from our June Lake trip, the water heater was leaking. Fortunately it's in the garage and didn't hurt anything. We finally got the new one installed today.

Blackberries are early this year, by Tuesday be picking enough for a big batch of blackberry jelly this year...yum!!!!

So, in the first half we lost three games in the last inning, in the second half we've won two and tied one, in the last inning. Even tho we have been very competitive this year, I really think I'm ready to wind down my "career". (I especially feel that way after a 9:00 game. On the plus side, I did get to sleep in this morning :D

Well I can cross off shoveling snow off my list...if it would have been on it...
How do you people survive where you actually have to do that??

I'm guessing we won't be going out on the lake today; it snowed last night. I guess it's supposed to snow off and on for the next couple of days. Just enough to be a nuisance, but
not really enough for recreational purposes.
Historical reference: the last time I got snowed on was back in '94, in of all places, Jerusalem.

Ok, I've finally seen Yosemite, it is awesome, can I go home now?

I actually went shopping today:
First store: Shoes, 5 minutes...went into store, told the guy what I wanted, tried on the problem left foot; put the shoes on while he rung up the sale, paid, walked out.
Second store: Belt, 10 minutes, 2 minutes to find the right size and color, 8 minutes waiting in line to pay.
Did and done!
