Thank you : ) It really is such a beautiful country. I wish I could have explore it more than I did. The only bad thing I can think of to say about the country is that it's too darn hot (140F is really disgusting!), but then again, I think anything over 65F is too hot : )
I did notice that these pictures have a very different feel from many of my other pictures. Usually I use a lot of color saturation in my shots, but for these, I used a lot of color DE-saturation. I also used a lot of dodging and burning (well, mostly burning) to give them more detail. I really like these ones now, but before editing them and spending so much time with them, I hated them. I want to go back to some of my older shots and re-edit them in this style. Which style do you like better, this latest one or the older one

Did you get enough photos about the border conflicts for your project??
How do the Himba get the red colouring in their hair? Is that the ochre butter? How is it made?
So should we expect a winning chameleon featured entry in WP of the year exhibition next year??? I hope so!

That would be a cool project. I.e. people still need some help in some places but look how together these remote africans are.
how much the the WPOTY fee? I didn;t realise they charged! They must be raking it in, with the entrance fees, the ticket fees and the souvenirs.
