Today, for the very first time, I tacked Dash up and just hopped on up on him right outside the stable for a trail ride (more like a property wander). Ha! Well, first off, GO DASH! And second, I enjoyed the heck out of Dash's narration of his harrowing adventure: I did a dramatic reading to my mom in the car. I am glad that the sharks stayed reasonably contained.

Dash is so adorable in his puffy bravery. He didn't bolt, but it felt like sitting on a lit firecracker and I was mentally willing the fishermen not to move! I've seen Dash gallop, and one day I would love to be on board when he does it, but I'd like to expect it and be prepared. He did reasonably well as a racehorse, and even the slower ones will knock the wind out of you when they really get moving. And Roxy is just fearless--she's up for anything. =)
