I went and watched Mercury and Jupiter the other night. I saw them, and several constellations. Had a nice chat with a samurai called Kawashi, too. It appears he served under Tokugawa Ieyasu before his becoming shogun.

I've located a a place where there is clear view of the sky.
There is a temple on a hill close by.

It's possible to see Mercurius with bare eye for a couple of days. It is also possible to see Jupiter at the same time this time around, which is very rare. I'm going to go spotting.

I know my family's fine, since I'm currently at the dojo.
