My surgery is scheduled!

So I have a date for my knee surgery: May 2nd. The good thing is, its not going to cost me as much out of pocket as I had anticipated. Its an outpatient procedure and I should be able to walk out of the hospital, so that's good news. I honestly can't wait to get it done, its been 13 years!

Awesome! When I had my arthroscopic surgery I didn't walk out of the hospital, even though it was out patient. Well, I think by law they have to wheel you out in a wheel chair, but that wasn't before they had a physical therapist teach me how to use the crutches I was on for the next 3 weeks or so.

I had a bad experience with the anesthesia and they gave me too much, and I was pretty much knocked out (besides eating, going to the bathroom) for a an entire week. That wont happen to you, I'm sure. But I guess you should expect a little bit of recovery time, because after all it is still surgery, you'll be sore. But yay to getting your knee fixed.

Make sure you got someone to wait on you hand and foot when you get home. That doesn't happen often. Milk it for all it's worth!

3 weeks?? Really? I am going to Chicago 3 weeks after the surgery and they told me I'd be fine to walk on it by then...
