At least I have chicken.
--Old Klingon proverb

In middle school, there was a poster with "I went to college, and all I got was this stupid mansion and helicopter and Bentley."

The poster should really go, "I went to college, chose a cut-throat field/profession, performed various favors for professors so they hooked me with my boss who I would sometimes perform fellatio/cunnilingus under his/her desk while also interning, do graveyard shifts, and sometimes steal/lie about other people's stuff/work, got plastic surgery, changed my name/identity/ethnicity, and now I have a condo. Plus Camry. No maid yet."

Unless you're super rich, and your parents employ you to be their daughter/son. That's a good job too. Kinda hard to apply for, though.

I went to college, worked my ass off, worked part-time and interned and did community service shit, and I'm still waiting for my maid to show up at my high-rise mansion and finally bring the Lexus round after getting the tires all polished up. I'd also like a cook. And a guy who does my laundry for me, and irons it too. Also a guy who throws out helpful and leading suggestions for the morning crossword, while still letting me find the answer so that I feel smart.

My BA's in Writing and Lit. That...probably explains a lot.

I actually don't have much to complain about. I work. I have money enough to pay bills and the occasional Slurpee. But.

Where's the rest of it?

Also, I want to know why I can't write Bleach/Harry Potter/Dogs fanfic. I can answer weird detailed questions about canon, have a good understanding of characters, and know that there's so much bad fanfic out there except for Dogs, which no one really knows about that one more bad fic will make no difference at all, but--

Can't. No idea. No prompting situations or interests come alive. Zero, zilch, nada. Might need to go looking at like, story prompts/contest stuff. There used to be a...a yaoi something community on LJ with stuff like that. Can't remember what it's called.

Trying to do original/nonfiction work for publishing. Do not expect to get one penny/recognition for it, but I need to do something to get my hand back into writing. It's nice to write again.

flail, personal
