Community is pretty vague- what are you looking for? I'll try to take a look a bit later today, but otherwise, I'll see if H has any ideas tonight, I guess. His bank of texts he can name is better than mine. If you have a couple of texts, will your coordinator take that as a start? I don't know that I can provide you with a semester's worth of texts today.

The problem is I’m not entirely sure what I'm looking for. The enduring theme of my class is, I hope, going to be the connection between the Jewish community and the major fight against social norms that are harmful and untruthful (using the Golden Calf myth as a springboard.) So I’d need to find texts that supported that connection, as well as connections between that idea of fighting negative social norms and what the students felt were important aspects of a community (this Wednesday’s theme will be ‘common interests.’) And I’d like to connect Judaism and community more solidly with the dance I’m teaching, if possible, but I know that’s a tall order.
If there are any texts that talk about community in general, I’d love to take a look at them. Or heck, even any particularly exciting texts about Rosh Chodesh.
