It's been since January since I've posted anything. I... I have been busy, ok!
To summarize: I've moved to Syracuse, NY for grad school: not an MBA program, like I'd thought, but a MS in Information Management. What that is, to plagiarize

As for community in the Syracuse area- I have to push the international folkdance group there- they won't be your age, but they will be super-welcoming and very, very nice. If you're interested in Jewish-style community, I don't know the shuls there well, but I know several folks who vouch highly for a particular conservative one, if that brand speaks to you at all.
Forgetting all my random suggestions (what worked for me for a summer is, of course, utterly unrelated to what might work for you in the longer-term, especially since we haven't seen each other in person in some significant number of years)- I hope you find some groups of people to connect to soon.

You know what? Point me towards that folkdance group. I've always had friends of all ages, it certainly can't help to try. :) People at Syracuse University are super-welcoming, too! I just haven't managed to see them outside of class much. And it's very kind of you to make such an effort to reach out to me even though we *haven't* seen each other in so long!
Unfortunately, a conservative shul probably wouldn't work the best for me, but would you mind giving me the information on which one anyway? You never know when someone else could use information like that.
Thanks again!

PS, I thought I had actually mentioned you recently to Justin, and Google chat tells me I was sort of right:
Justin: Did you even see the railsgirls link I posted? WHO DO YOU THINK WAS THE FIRST FEMINIST I THOUGHT OF TO TALK ABOUT IT WITH!?
me: LINDSEY KUPER
