I totally agree - Window of Opportunity is brilliant. It's one of my all time favourite episodes, too.
Much as I like the lighter tone of the later seasons, I generally prefer the earlier seasons of SG-1, too. I love the original team, plus Janet is there as well.

Yes, team fic is the best, as are a lot of the earlier episodes. Granted I've not seen a lot of the later stuff in years, and will eventually get it, but season 4 is especially full of the good stuff.

I love Dead Beat so much. I read it several times unlike the others in the series (I enjoy the series, just don't generally reread, unlike my husband who read them several times). I love Butters.

Dead Beat is the best. I'm going to start my reread for the latest book there, I think, since I've not reread the ones after that hardly at all. And it's my favorite, so I'll start off strong ;)

I've just started watching Stargate SG-1.

Netflix is making it possible to watch stuff pretty much as we read stuff - in chunks when we want to, and on the recommendation of friends.

Oh, Stargate is one of my absolute favorite shows ever! I'm not as fond of the last couple of seasons, but oh, the show as a whole is fabulous! I do so hope you enjoy the journey as much as I did.

And now I'm feeling the urge to read Harry Potter and watch SG1. Neither of these are necessarily bad things. :)

Hee! Both perfectly awesome things, in my opinion! Stargate has long been a favorite, and so has HP. Hogwarts will always be my home.
