I hope you don't mind me invading your journal, I spotted your post on the manchester friendslist. I finished school in summer 2002 without any big plans for my gap year at all (I'd already applied for deferred entry and got my place sorted following my A-Levels

Im in like the whole stressy parent bit at the moment. Will I be able to get a job, am I being unrealistic etc. Im just worried that I wont be able to hack living at home when all my mates have gone off to uni? I dunno, I think im doing the right thing cos I wanna travel, meet new people etc and I definitely need a break from education but you know. . . . . am kinda having tiny second thoughts - only tiny ones though!
