I mentioned the other day that my father in law bought a bike. Of course, we're still not totally thrilled he bought a department store bike, but at least he got a bike

My dad is 82 (wow, I know) and he still rides a bike. He's always done; when I was little he used to carry me around on the back in a little bike seat.
You always have the best stories, lol. But it doesn't surprise me to see a 51 year old man get on a bike. My mom is fifty and has been a serious biker on and off for years and still goes out riding every chance she can get. And I hope you don't mind my inquiry, but I've always been curious what your husband's ethnic background is. I'm just about about every race under the sun myself and I always love learning about people's heritage.
Such a good question!! I asked him after we'd been dating for a few weeks. I could see him being Indian, Mexican... maybe even greek?? (olive skin/dark hair and eyes) It's actually Native American Indian. Which I wouldn't have guessed lol.
I don't really use LJ much these days but I do still check my friends page from time to time and every time I see the progress you've both made I'm amazed. I think more so with your husband because we're both male and about the same size when he started so I see it as a sort of inspiration. I lost about 24lbs this year but then moved to a different city and it all went wrong, I've now put it all (plus more) back on.
Thanks, I'm super proud of him. He's been working so hard. I have probably put about 5 pounds back on lol. I've been eating like a crazy person this holiday season!
