*folds his arms* I believe that Yugi should defend himself by whatever means necessary! The moment that man used physical contact to provoke either of them, both Yugi and Grandpa are justified to knock him out! And its not like the man was unarmed! Yugi just knocked it out of his hand! *chuckles as he imagines it*
*smirks* Good for you, but I can't help but think that there was another way to solve this problem than to hit the poor guy with a shovel. Turning his back to him when he's calling out to you would have done the trick too. Ignoring someone hurts just as bad as a bullet through the chest.
Seriously, I know this isn't like you und you know that you are a bigger man than that, but the way your girlfriend was being treated needed some defending. Just think of this, how does she feel about it, more importantly. Don't worry about our opinions. You don't need to impress us, but rather comfort Tea in her time of need. Protect her first und foremost. *thinks about Atem in that situation*
I've tried ignoring Omar. He's an insensitive jerk! *sighs* But Dr. Denauve is going to be mad that I put one of his strongest workers out of commission for a while.
I'm not sure how Tea feels about it. I mean, she was shocked, but she said that she appreciates me defending her honor. She likes that. But I don't think she ever expected it of me. (I didn't expect it of me!) I'm not sure.
And at least the others won't touch her now that I smashed Omar's face! *scratches the back of his neck* I guess that matters.
Yugi... *looks a bit worried* You shouldn't have done that. I know he made you mad, but really, you shouldn't have hurt him! And with a shovel of all things! *shakes his head sadly* I expected better of you. By hurting him, you're only sinking to his level. Oh, Yugi... *sighs*
*feels even more guilty, looks away* I know... I'm not normally like this! I just... *looks close to tears* I'm sick of seeing those I love get pushed around! And after all he said about Tea and Grandpa...
*puts a hand on Yugi's shoulder* Please, don't feel guilty. I can see why you reacted this way, but that doesn't make it right. When Omar is healthy again, what do you think he's going to do to you? Shake your hand and say 'sorry'? No! He'll hurt you with not only words, but with physical might, just as you did! You've started something large- a need for revenge and 'just desserts' on both sides. You may not have noticed it, but things are in motion. If I were you, I'd go to Omar and explain my side of the story, apologize, and leave. He doesn't have to say sorry just then. Leave a cruel person to mull over kind words for a long time, and amazing things happen. He'd apolgize in time.
As much as I detest violence, there are some things that need to be done in order to stop the greater evil. Sometimes it takes an explosion to stop the fire. I'm glad that you stood up to what was right, but Yugi, I'm concerned for your safety now. The show of force that you have exhibited seems to start a chain reaction that's hard to stop. Violence begets violence and the stronger you may be, there is always another stronger to take the place of the one that was defeated.
Perhaps you should go to the hospital and apologize. Sometimes friendships occur when one leasts expects it. Three things may happen in this case. Either one, he'll fear you, two he'll respect you, or three he'll try to harm you again with greater force. As long as you show that you're the bigger man that admits his faults, perhaps he will start to think the next time he chooses to speak. I wish you the best of luck, Yugi.
*would hug him if he could but instead he clearly shows that he's hoping for the best* You're very welcome. I'd hate to see you so upset over something that can be fixed. Just know that good things come to those that try their best. Even if he doesn't forgive you, you at least know that you did your best.
*clearly confused* Yugi? Since when did you ever strike anyone? *only remembers the Yugi he knew, the latest memory was Battle City, feeling as if he doesn't know anyone but can only recognize their faces at best*
*sighs* This really isn't like me, Kaiba-kun. I've never done something like that before! It just... seemed like the right thing to do at the time! There was something about Omar that made me think that he would really hurt Grandpa!
*thinks back to a time when Kaiba nearly killed Grandpa, and how he [Yugi] simply let Atem handle it* You know that Grandpa means a lot to me. I'm trying to judge better ways of defending people in dire situations, without relying of someone else all of the time.
*looks to the side when he thought about the time he nearly took Yugi's grandfather's life* Yeah. *looks back at the computer screen* Look, I know what I have done was wrong. I can't explain how, but I would do the same thing and I have if someone took Mokuba away from me. Family is the only thing that keeps me going each day.
Is your grandfather alright? *sincerity in his eyes, face remaining stoic*
