Cheeseburgers

Aug 04, 2013 23:03

Dear McDonald's employees,

When I ordered a "plain cheeseburger", I meant I wanted my burger without that disgusting mix of ketchup, onions, and pickles you insist on trying to shove down my throat. I didn't mean I wanted my burger without cheese. Why the hell would I order a cheeseburger without cheese? Are you guys that stupid or are you ( Read more... )

Haha, I actually know someone who worked at McDonald's for a while, and you'd be surprised to know how much weird shit they hear: people who want a cheeseburger without cheese, chicken burger with a hamburger instead of chicken, McBacon without bacon and so on. He even got the same request you did once: plain cheeseburger. Only that the customer actually DID mean "a cheeseburger without cheese", and got mad because the cheeseburger had, well, cheese.

So yeah, maybe the employees in question thought you were one of those customers. XD

Hey, I have no trouble believing they actually get those kinds of orders! XD But I'm pretty sure they're the exception and not the rule. What did I do to make them simply assume I was "one of those customers" rather than a normal, sensible customer? D:

Also, that person could have said "a plain burger" or even "a cheeseburger without cheese", but ordering "a plain cheeseburger" and expecting it to come without cheese is just stupid... -_-

Haha, who knows! XD Maybe they just had one of those customers and their minds were still wired on that? XD

Yeah, THAT would make sense. But some people have no idea what making sense even means, I'm afraid.

Haha this reminds me...I really like the iced coffee at McDonalds (kinda random right?) but getting it is always a huge ordeal because I have learned to explain myself very very clearly and they still seem to get it wrong. xD ( ... )

That's hilarious, in a face-palming, losing-faith-in-humanity way. XD Maybe they just don't understand why you'd want a rather "plain" coffee at McDonald's, when you could get it somewhere else without making it a special order?

It's always a ordeal when I try to order a plain cheeseburger, too. -_- I mean, what's so hard to understand about it? But this was the first time they actually brought me a cheeseburger without cheese...

I guess, maybe? Iced coffee is actually somewhat hard to make and have it come out well, it's kind of random that McDonalds does a good job, lol. I think that person had just never met anyone in their life who didn't want sugar in their coffee.

Your problem is even weirder, cause you'd think that a plain cheeseburger wouldn't be a strange concept. I'd just try to be as brain-numbingly clear as possible. "I want a plain cheeseburger. And by that, I mean: I want the bread, the burger, and the cheese, nothing else." If they still put ketchup and pickles on it, there's no longer any hope. xD;

Por certo, como se diz "iced coffee" no Brasil? Em espanhol diziam "cafe frio" em Guatemala e ouvi "cafe helado" em Mexico @_@;

Actually, I do just that. Every time. And they still get it wrong sometimes - though it's true that it improves the odds of them getting it right. In fact, I said that when I ordered the cheeseburger that triggered this post. I can only assume the employee didn't hear me.

Na verdade, eu não entendo muito de café e nunca vi esse tipo de café aqui no Brasil, apesar de não poder afirmar que não existe. Uma rápida busca no Google me apresenta o termo "café gelado". XD
