Hey

Oct 03, 2013 16:08

It's been so long since I posted anything here! Uni has been making me pretty busy and it was really starting to get to me, but I'm not having any classes this whole week, so I've been trying to cool down and do something remotely fun for once. I didn't even have time to study languages until yesterday! D: I also need to finish subbing the next ( Read more... )

It's great to hear from you, though it makes me a little sad you're having so many problems. I don't think it's unheard of for a cold to last that long, but if it stays, it might be a good idea to get tested for some allergies. If the pain in your back has lasted for that many weeks now, just some meds probably won't make it better. Maybe you can get a massage or something?

I'm so happy about the Hetalia updates, too! And while the last episode of Attack on Titan was a little underwhelming, I'm really looking forward to the second season. I'm sure they'll make it eventually since both the manga and the anime DVDs and Blurays have been selling like crazy. I hope the Portuguese translation of the manga will be good!

My colds would always get better in 3-4 days, so I really thought it was unusual for it to last to this long, especially since I don't really have any other symptoms. D: As for the back problem, yes, I'll probably need some massage sessions... *sigh*

Did you see the last-minute scene, though? The episode itself was a little blah compared to the rest of the series, but I can't help but love that little ending; it's such a teasing cliffhanger! And I sure hope the Portuguese translation of the manga is at least acceptable, or else I won't be able to buy you a copy in good consciousness. XD (It doesn't matter that you wouldn't be able to tell either way...)

Yeah, I saw that scene, but it wasn't really enough to save the episode for me. I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy the second season because by then, I will have caught up with the manga, and the anime might not be as much fun when you know what's going to happen. But at least I'm sure the music will be fantastic!

Haha, yeah, the translation could be total shit and I wouldn't be able to tell. XD But it would be wonderful to see the manga in another language!

Hmm, I have the same worries. I was able to enjoy the final episodes of the first season even though I had already read the manga, but I admit that I had more fun when I was watching the anime without having any idea what was going to happen next. Then again, I don't know if it's because I was "spoiled" or because the second half of the season just wasn't as good as the first half. :/

Fortunately, the odds are that the translation will be good. This publisher's manga tend to be well translated. :D

It's so nice to hear from you, though I totally hear you on the "nothing changes...and if it does, it's probably bad, and that sucks to write about" @_ ( ... )

Haha, I always did wonder how people could tell the difference between a cold and allergies. My mother is very allergic, too; she looks like she's suffering from a horrible flu all the time. I'll wait another week, and if it doesn't go away, I'll see a doctor. Yikes, I hope it doesn't turn into a constant problem! @_@

As far as I know, all the manga published in Brazil are translated directly from Japanese! :D And the translations are usually pretty good, too! Yes, there's a large Japanese diaspora in Brazil, as well as very skilled non-native translators, so chances are this series is in good hands. XD If you want I can buy you a copy as well. Then I can send it to you along with some other stuff I was planning to give you for Christmas. :D

Aaa that would be super awesome if it's not too much money/burden etc etc!

I actually have some stuff that's just been sitting in my room for various people (you included!) and I just haven't. Even gotten to the post office in a bazillion years. @_@ Christmas sounds like a good goal though, LOL. Are there any manga in English that you'd like me to find for you? :0

Haha I know the feeling. I would write in lang-8 more if I had more inspiration.. in fact I would write in LJ more too. My life is just one big routine at the moment.

Omg I'm sorry you're not feeling well :( I hope your back pain improves. Those injuries can hurt for a while I think.

Ugh I hate when publishers split books into volumes like that. So lame! Another reason for wanting to understand the original, hehehe :)

Great to see you around again btw :)

I have seriously considering creating an alternate account with a fake identity and writing about fun/crazy stuff like "today I met an alien and it took me to the moon for a stroll" or something. XD

And thanks! I suppose my back feels a little better today...

Haha you should just write those entries anyway, when I correct English on lang-8 there are plenty of made up stories :) It can be funny who corrects you though, I always write quite informally, and I once had someone cross out all the smiley faces I had written! lol! It made me laugh imagining the person being like "No happiness for you!" as they "corrected" me.

Haha, I've never seen any crazy made-up stories like that. XD I guess I'll give it a try, after all. And yeah, I've seen people who crossed out the smiley faces. It's like they can't tell the difference between a formal paper and the Internet. XD

Wow, uni seems to be working you to the bone. Hope you took advantage of this chance to wind down.
Also, sorry to know your back is paining you that much. :T Hasn't it gotten any better these days you could rest?
