Timeline: Moments after he dies, October 4.
Age: 18
Appearance: At 5'9'', Shinjiro's the tallest member of SEES. The dark red peacoat he wears does little to indicate his build; however, it’s safe to assume that he’s at least lean from all his fighting. He keeps his messy shoulder-length brown hair under a hat. His default expression is either him frowning or completely blank. He rarely smiles. He puts all of his weight forward most of the time, and he usually has his hands in his pockets. Abilities: He has the ability to summon a Persona. Here’s his persona Castor. His weapon of choice is a huge axe, which he wields one-handed. As a result, he attacks very slowly and at times misses, but whenever his attacks so connect, the enemy very rarely stands afterward. He also has no elemental weaknesses, but he’s also not skilled in any elements. Naturally, all of his moves are physical attacks. There is little chance he’ll be healing anyone. He also has the ability to cook anything and make it look like it was straight out of the cookbook. However, he doesn’t like anyone knowing about his cooking skills. The following is the moves he can use with Castor and how much they cost him to use:
Regenerate 1 Passive Restore 5% HP on each turn, except for "1 More".
Counter Passive 15% chance of repelling a Physical attack while not knocked "Down".
Fatal End 13% Hp Inflicts a moderate amount of Slash damage to one enemy.
Evil Smile 10 SP 25% chance of inflicting the Fear ailment to all enemies.
Counterstrike Passive 30% chance of repelling a Physical attack while not knocked "Down".
Power Charge 15 SP The next Slash, Strike, Pierce, or Almighty physical attack will be 2.5 times greater in power.
Blade of Fury 16% Hp Inflicts a moderate amount of Slash damage to one enemy (3x).
Heat Wave 16% Hp Inflicts a moderate amount of Strike damage to all enemies.
High Counter Passive 50% chance of repelling a Physical attack while not knocked "Down".
Deathbound 19% Hp Inflicts a large amount of Slash damage to all enemies.
Regenerate 2 Passive Restore 10% HP on each turn, except for "1 More".
Akasha Arts 19% Hp Inflicts a large amount of Strike damage to all enemies (2x).
God's hand 14% Hp Inflicts a massive amount of Strike damage to one enemy.
Personality: On a first glance, Shinjiro appears to be a delinquent. He uses foul language, appears to have little manners, and is even seen kicking someone’s ass without ever lifting a finger. However, he's much more than that. He certainly is impatient at times, but he cares more than he seems to. If you somehow break through his heavily guarded exterior, he'll nag you to eat better or be less reckless…while, at the same time being the one slinging around an axe over half his size one-handed. Who has time to practice what they preach?
History: Shinjiro knew little if anything about his parents. He grew up in an orphanage with Akihiko Sanada. He didn't recall those years with any bit of optimism; in fact, he could hardly think of any moment in his life that he can be proud of. He spent his childhood getting into trouble and Akihiko having to steer him right. The same pattern followed him up until a hippie shot him down. Wait, let's back up for a second here.
He was part of the original three members of S.E.E.S. (or the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad), a club at Gekkoukan High formed to fight monsters called shadows. He was also the only member to leave. Two years prior to the protagonist joining, Shinjiro lost control of his Persona during a mission and killed an innocent bystander. The guilt of her death tormented him so much that he quit S.E.E.S., started skipping school, and began engaging in shady deals in the streets. A particular group he came in contact with on the streets was called Strega, a group of teenagers who also used Personas but took advantage of the Dark Hour instead fighting it. Through those deals, he was able to access pills that helped him suppress his Persona.
However, around September, he rejoined S.E.E.S. His only reason for rejoining is because Ken Amada, the child of the woman he killed, had also recently joined. Shinjiro knew fully well of what Ken was planning on doing to him. On the anniversary of Ken's mother's death, the two of them met where she died. He had enough time to warn Ken to not let revenge destroy him ("But, let me give you one warning. If you decide to take your life, you'll end up like me. Just remember that. Even if all you have now is hatred, one day you'll regret it.") before Takaya, Strega's leader, interrupted them to remind them of how futile their lives were. Ken wasn't allowed to take his revenge; however the result was the same. Shinjiro took the bullet meant for Ken with nothing but a smile. His last words were: "This is how it should be."
Roleplay Sample - Log: Letting Fuuka cook was starting to seem to Shinjiro like the worst idea he'd made in a couple of years. He'd never seen someone quite like her before. She had the knack of destroying anything she tried cooking. She could burn noodles. She could somehow peel a potato wrong. She could somehow set wine on fire. Everything that she did was just utterly and completely wrong.
However, as much as he growled at her to move out of the way, he wouldn't hold a grudge. It wasn't her fault that cooking just wasn't for her. But the fact that she saw him along with the rest of S.E.E.S. as the chef was more than troubling. He didn't mind cooking, but now, it seemed like they only saw him as a cook. He never asked to become the chef, and the last thing he needed was their nagging...
The fact that they all came to him now was enough to drive him crazy. He avoided social situations the best he could. He didn't want to be anyone's sempai, and he sure as hell didn't want them looking at him the way they did. Those kind of looks were reserved for someone much better than him. Surely he couldn't be the only one in S.E.E.S. who could cook. Surely he couldn't be the best... That would just be pathetic...
Roleplay Sample - Journal: [Immediately as the video starts, it's apparent that the teenager doesn't know exactly how to address everyone. Or, rather, he's finding this whole idea stupid.]
Look, I know last week was rough, and...
[He looks off camera for a second before continuing.]
I'm only doing this once. If you guys want, provide me with the food, and I'll cook everyone a big dinner. But just this once.
[The view pans down, and he's heard talking to someone else right before the feed cuts.]
