G, I am so sorry! I know how much you loved her. She was such a sassy little thing and I feel privileged to have met her. You gave a wonderful (and long) life.
I remember when mom and dad got her for you. I was so jealous, cause I wanted one too! She was the very first dog that mom and dad allowed us to have. She was so tiny she could fit in your pocket. She will always be with you, Sis. She knows you loved her and she loved you. No matter what you need, I am here for you. I love you, hon!
I completely understand how you feel, dear. I went through the same thing almost two years ago with my precious beagle.
Take your time to heal. Some people don't understand how our dearest pets are some of our closet friends and family. You need to relax, breathe, and most importantly, depend on other friends. Having some company really does make it better; the support feels amazing.
Remember: She's never really gone. And, like another commenter said, she knew that you loved her until the very end.
Since I'm not able to give a real hug, I'll share my friendly advice. One of the best things I ever did during those hard days after my doggie was gone was get an urn that had a photo holder on the front, so whenever I walk by the square box, I see her photo and say hello, and it helps so so much.
