So... I was trolling around looking for Christmas fics and stumbled on this non-Christmas fic but settled in for a wee wallow anyway. This reminds me how much I love self-sacrifice that isn't throwing yourself on the grenade, but the simple gestures that are so often and so easily overlooked. I love this!
