You nailed the banter in this. It was just so THEM.
LOVED these lines: “Told you you were getting sick.” Dean manages to sound smug and sympathetic at the same time-a gift; one he’s employed more than once at Sam’s expense.
“Thought I was the psychic one.” Through the scrape of irritated vocal cords, Sam manages to sound both annoyed and appreciative. They each have their talents. *g*
It's that kind of brotherly snark that made me fall in love with these brothers in the first place, especially without the edge that developed in later seasons.
Course, it wouldn't be the Winchesters without the bittersweet undercurrent, and you captured that beautifully, too.
What an awesome comment! Thank you so much! And I'm totally with you--that brotherly snark (all that love and caring barely disguised) was why I fell in love, too. Here's hoping for more of that style for S6!
This is a great look into the downtime after a hunt. You perfectly nailed the tone of those first seasons. And the weariness that is all over Sam comes across so vividly.
Thanks so much for pulling back the curtain and giving us a little peek into Winchester life when the game faces are off.
I'm hanging in there. We've been crazy busy at work and I've been working on art for the Pros BB. So I haven't really done any writing. Hopefully, that will change shortly. :-)
You are so wonderful for once again helming things and keeping us not only on our toes but inspired. Thanks so much! And I'm glad you enjoyed this! I have lots of reading to do to catch up--and am looking forward to all of it. :)
