So I bought and watched Phantom of the Opera. I love the play, and liked the movie, but I still find it a little unbelievable that he can think of himself as ugly considering it's frickin' Gerard Butler with only half of his face messed up. Heck, he still has the other half, and that's gooorgeous. Still, thought overall it was interesting, but

The Phantom of the Opera with Lon Chaney is a lot more believable than the newer version. I still want to see it, though. =X

After being such a huge fan of the play and only ever listening to the original cast soundtrack, i found it REALLY hard to like him as the Phantom in terms of his singing. I dunno, it just didn't cut it for me.... I'm still totally gonna buy the movie though :P
