It's interesting how much work devours our life. I wonder what we'd do without it?

My mind often drifts away remembering that it hasn't always been like this but then everything is thrown into sharp relief: "Those damn BILLS." Take care, Ju

It's the bills that devour our lives!
Work is just the socially-appropriate "solution".

I remember my first job. Check out at a grocery store. Back when I was 14. Worked for them for several years. In several positions.

What a joy, to have a job that is not work :)

Not sure that I could name all of my jobs either! Custodian/Janitor, usher, ticket seller, projectionist, ice cream scooper, misc food service, hostess, product manager for a sex toy company, kennel attendant, office admin, editor, confectioner...all the music stuff...loads more haha

I've never been a cook/baker... but I feel I've been just about everything else!
One of my bucketlist short-term jobs for a long time was be an opening shift baker or donut fryer... just for the 3am mornings.
It's one of my favorite times of day, and there's something about a steamy bakery that is hot and active long before dawn arrives.

You worked so hard to get here…which means you’ll never be able to take “here” for granted.

Oh, I will certainly have days where I will grumble and grouse and fantasize about throwing off my dream job like streaker's tracksuit to flap free in the cold and buffeting frowns of fate,.. not necessarily because I think its a "good idea" but because I'd like to feel just a *little* more free...
... but hopefully gratitude will save (and cover) my ass by reminding me happiness, comfort, ease, and satisfaction are not guaranteed and impossibly expensive to try to buy, so why argue if/when I am being paid to *actually* pursue them?
