First up, if you have never seen Spooks go get it. Buy it, download it, whatever but it must be watched and preferably from the beginning (I believe it was released in the US under MI-5). Spooks has had some seriously duff moments, especially most of S4, but that's only because it gave me such insanely high expectations by being bloody great from the beginning. I still miss the original gang a bit (MmmmmmmmcFadyen esp): loved S2. But yeah, them killing off Colin made me go all wonky, and Malcolm's response was wonderfully done. I think we're ALL a bit gay for Ruth(or in my case should that be more gay), she is superb. But then I've always had a weak spot for attractive, vaguely school-maamish, older women.

I actually liked S4, it was good fun. But you're right, compared to the rest of Spooks it is a bit duff, compared to everything else on TV though...

I do miss the original line-up a bit, but I do like that the cast does change, it evolves, and it stops you thinking whenever the team is in a tight spot 'ah, they'll get out of this, they're the main characters', because oh so often they don't bwhahaha (the laughter I'm sure being what the writers are thinking when they write these scenes)
