My brilliant brother won his football game yesterday... he also got a 15 yard penalty for saying "goddamn" Yeah... my dad asked the ref at half time what my brother had said and the ref said "I don't speak like that... g.d." lol. My mom didn't come to services this morning. She went to sit with Papa- he's doing a lot worse. About half an hour into the service my Dad left because his phone rang. Yeah, we left early. Papa is right now waiting to go the hospital. They sent Sam, Dan, and I home because there is nothing we can do. They are going to put him on a morphine ( Read more... )

The shechechayanu is a prayer that is basically "we're happy everyone is safe, healthy, and here" Today I heard a 7 minute version of a 30 second prayer sung to the tune from The Barber of Seville, and they were off key.
