Yea, do not use your largest knife (even though it might be your favorite knife) to remove the seed from an avocado.

Why???? you may ask. Well I'll tell you... Apparently  your fingers are as easily slice-able as said avocado.

I totally blame it on Meg and her friend from school. There was a discussion on Sunday about me using the big knife to cut the avocado, which I did perfectly on Sunday.

I too am extremely glad you're ok. I hate hospitals. It sucks that you had to go on your own.

So the funny thing is, 2 days before I drilled through my finger I was cutting an avocado and wait for it...
yep you guessed it, cut through the pit unexpectedly and cut my finger--the SAME FINGER I later drilled into. And I swear to God I had this thought: "Wow, that could have been a lot worse. I'm really stupid. No one else would cut an avocado this way. I'm going to be really careful from now on and pay attention to what I'm doing." !!

The ensuing accidents made me forget all about the avocado incident to the point where I actually looked down at my finger this morning and wondered where I got THAT cut from! Thanks for reminding me to take better care of myself!
