People complain about getting older. Maybe I'm lucky in that my family tends to age well, but I'm learning to take the good with the bad as I age, and also learning how to put the minor annoyances in perspective with my blessings

Yeah, it's best to just worry about the big issues and not little details. I'm focused on trying to find work before I lose the roof over my head. Little things like stains on a good shirt or my gaming computer not booting every time just don't matter by perspective. :)

And really, the less anger and stress from not getting worked up about it helps one stay healthier as they age!

I can understand how you're feeling on both those counts. I lost one of my dogs just a little over a year ago (though at 17+ years she made the long haul), and the lady topazdawnrose lost her pet rat earlier this year. I'm just glad yours managed to pull through. As for computer rebuilding vexations, I had that fun a few months back. Here's hoping that yours is back to you soon.

Still, great long view that you have. Always count those blessings.
