People complain about getting older. Maybe I'm lucky in that my family tends to age well, but I'm learning to take the good with the bad as I age, and also learning how to put the minor annoyances in perspective with my blessings ( Read more... )

Yeah, it's best to just worry about the big issues and not little details. I'm focused on trying to find work before I lose the roof over my head. Little things like stains on a good shirt or my gaming computer not booting every time just don't matter by perspective. :)

And really, the less anger and stress from not getting worked up about it helps one stay healthier as they age!

I can understand how you're feeling on both those counts. I lost one of my dogs just a little over a year ago (though at 17+ years she made the long haul), and the lady topazdawnrose lost her pet rat earlier this year. I'm just glad yours managed to pull through. As for computer rebuilding vexations, I had that fun a few months back. Here's hoping that yours is back to you soon.

Still, great long view that you have. Always count those blessings.
