I had no desire to read it, I usually stay away from anything that gets too much press as "controversial"... But I read it and absolutely enjoyed it. It's not so much (in my opinion) typical feelgood blah blah. It's better than that. I really liked it. It's a pretty quick read too, if you're not completely against reading it due to the gifts origination.

I agree with the previous comment. My Wife and I read it together, to one another (we alternated between every chapter), and we both really enjoyed it. Parts of it were quite emotionally gripping and powerful.

It didn't change or improve our knowledge of God (not that you would really expect it to), but it did give us some interesting points to think about as to how He could (/would) reveal Himself to others. There are a few very amazing things to consider about the story, if it is even partially true.
