My Yiynova MSP19 died earlier while I was juggling monitors trying to get my game capture device set up. There was a newer version of the Yiynova, the MSP19U, which I was considering purchasing but hadn't intended to upgrade like that. I'm really kind of agog at what that staement implies.

I mean, not every company can have hire geniuses by the case-lot, but you don't need to be from Redmond or Cupertino to realize that penalizing people for sticking with your brand is not a good idea...

...aaaaaand the little devil on my left shoulder just said "Verizon." OK, forget I said anything.

True, but keep in mind that this isn't a big company like Wacom, it's a small Chinese company with an American distributor that probably has 3-6 employees. I can understand a few bugs. (Plus my computer is a bit persnickety)

...It also means there are bits of amusing engrish in the manual.

Please let me know about your trials and tribulations with this. I've been considering getting one of these, but have heard things about problems with stability, how well it tracks, etc etc.

The alternative is to get a higher end tablet which I've been looking at for work purposes, and do some coloring on that.

The MSP19U is WAY more stable than the MSP19. The inking I'm getting out of it is a lot smoother and although the tracking was off at first, running it through calibration fixed that very quickly. Check out the latest version of my comic I drew to see how easy it was to get smooth sweeping ink lines out of it: http://www.little-tales.com/index.php?Strip=649
