Road Trip!

We're driving to Jasper, Arkansas.... to pick up this little guy!  Many of you know about Logan's passing.  Very sad for all of us, and we miss him. He'll always be in our hearts. I've decided we're just dog people, and we just can't be without dogs in our house.  We have Rayne, our five month old German Shepherd, but we're so used to having two,

Hehe, thanks, Corina! Honestly, it's kind of a crazy thing for me to do. Drive all the way out of state for a dog! But you know, it just might be kinda fun!

Thanks, hon! We're not sure about a name yet. My daughter was thinking of Kovu (from the Lion King movie), but I think we'll need to meet him first and then decide!

I think it's wonderful that you're bringing this little guy into your home. No one will ever replace Logan, but the thing about dog people is that they have that same miraculous quality that dogs have- their hearts are always expanding to make room for anyone who need some love. He's a lucky puppy to be joining your family!

And you already know it, but, um... "Ollie" is a great name. Just sayin'. ;-)

I've never done anything as crazy as drive to another state for a dog! But, this breed is so hard to find, and not that I want to spoil my daughter but she was so heartbroken over Logan, and asked me if we could get a new pup, and well... she's a good kid, and this ranch happens to be having a sale on the pups. A road trip could be fun.

She won't let me name the dog Ollie. Or Merlin. Which was the other name I wanted! (She's no fun!)

I'll post up pics when we get home. :)

Hee.. thanks! I'm not sure about a name yet. My daughter is thinking of Kovu or Riku or something like that. Maybe I we should name him Plato! LOL He does sort of look as though he's thinking deep thinky thoughts!
